6 cups water
1 Tbs. vanilla
2 Tbs. honey (or a pinch of stevia extract)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbs. cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil
Lecithin (optional - just leave it out if you don't have it)
Combine almonds and water into high-speed blender. Blend until completely liquefied. Pour liquid into a nut milk bag, and squeeze out all liquid into a bowl or pitcher until pulp is dry. Place liquid back in blender, and add remaining ingredients. Blend until well combined. Store in refrigerator for up to 4 days. Comments available: Wed 09 Oct 2013 17:47:08 MDT I use this to replace all my milk in recipes and it works great! Some things have been a little flat, but the flavor has been the same. :)
Comments available: Mon 17 Nov 2014 14:10:02 MST I leave out the sweeteners which makes this a better vehicle for savory recipes.
